Some information about me and what I do
Background
After receiving my undergraduate (BM) and graduate degree (MAT) from the University of New Hampshire I began a teaching career. I am in my ninth year as an elementary music educator in Newburyport – I love it!
Performer
While teaching occupies most of my work life, playing music for people still bring me great joy. Whether it’s leading a jazz trio at a Sunday brunch, or playing some familiar songs in a backyard on a weekend, I always enjoy sharing music with people young and old.
Private and Group Lessons
Outside of the classroom I have 10+ years experience teaching instrumental music. I frequently work with the Newburyport Recreation and Youth Services Department to provide after school and summertime group music lessons on piano, xylophone, and ukulele to children in grades K-5.
